VVD MEP Jeannette Baljeu was elected First Vice President during the ELF General Assembly in Brussels
During the European Liberal Forum (ELF) General Assembly in Brussels, VVD MEP Jeannette Baljeu was elected as First Vice President of ELF. Her election marks an important step in strengthening the VVD’s contribution to liberal cooperation and policy development across Europe.
The General Assembly brought together liberal foundations and partners from across Europe to discuss the future direction of ELF and elect a new leadership. Delegates re-elected German MEP Jan-Christoph Oetjen as President, while Jeannette Baljeu was elected First Vice President. Antoaneta Asenova and Helga Pattart-Drexler were elected as Second Vice President and Treasurer.
Alongside the election of the Executive Committee, members also voted for the new ELF Board. Marco Mariani, MEP Brigitte van den Berg, Violetta Pashutina, Mats Löfström and Anna Donáth were elected to serve on the Board and will help guide ELF’s work in the years ahead.
As First Vice President, Jeannette Baljeu will contribute to shaping ELF’s strategic priorities. Through research, policy development and international dialogue, ELF plays an important role in advancing liberal solutions to the challenges facing European challenges.
