IFLRY Balkan Training Academy

The IFLRY Training Academy, organised by the International Federation of Liberal Youth (IFLRY) in partnership with VVD International, will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from 29 October to 1 November 2026, bringing together young liberal campaigners, communicators, and political leaders from across Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans.

Under the theme “Beyond the Algorithm: Youth, Disinformation & Democratic Resilience in Eastern Europe”, participants from Eastern Europe and the EU Enlargement countries will explore the growing impact of disinformation, digital manipulation, and hybrid influence on democratic processes across the region. Through a combination of expert-led sessions, practical workshops, and peer-to-peer exchange, participants will examine how political actors can effectively respond to the challenges posed by online misinformation and increasingly complex digital information environments.

Throughout the seminar, participants will strengthen their understanding of modern political campaigning, strategic communication, and democratic resilience. By sharing experiences and best practices from their own countries, they will develop practical tools and strategies to support democratic engagement and counter disinformation in their communities.
