Na een introductie volgde een rondleiding door de afvalverwerkingsinstallatie.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Het restafval dat door Waardlanden wordt ingezameld, komt hier terecht. Interessant om te zien hoe er continu wordt gewerkt aan een effici\u00ebnter verwerkingsproces. Opvallend was de grote hoeveelheid lachgascilinders die dagelijks uit het afval worden gehaald. Deze vormen een serieus probleem, omdat ze schade kunnen veroorzaken aan de verbrandingsovens.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Uit ons restafval worden energie en warmte geproduceerd voor omliggende wijken. Tegelijkertijd was het confronterend om te horen dat maar liefst 60% van het restafval nog gerecycled kan worden.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Daarnaast werd duidelijk dat de kosten voor het verwerken van restafval de komende jaren fors stijgen. Naar verwachting zijn deze in 2029 zelfs verdubbeld.
