Then you can VOTE!<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a registered resident of Leiden, you can vote in the upcoming city council elections! Even without a Dutch passport. We&#8217;re the local chapter of the VVD and we want to plot a different course for our city. Why?<\/p>\n<p>To make Leiden a place where residents have the <strong>FREEDOM<\/strong> to make their own choices.<\/p>\n<p>A place where <strong>LOWER TAXES<\/strong> give residents the space to thrive &amp; spend money on what they think is important.<\/p>\n<p>A place where <strong>SAFETY,<\/strong> especially for women at night and cycling children, has become the rule, rather than exception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We want to achieve these goals through the following measures:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Building more houses &amp; apartments for sale.<\/li>\n<li>Reducing traffic accidents &amp; parking lot removal.<\/li>\n<li>Reducing taxes &amp; unnecessary administration.<\/li>\n<li>Investing in more police &amp; more cameras.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Be sure to vote on the 18th of March!
